Shots fired during I-35 road rage incident lead to arrest of Missouri woman

An investigation into a road rage incident in which shots were fired on I-35 in Liberty, Missouri, led to the arrest of a Raytown woman.

The Liberty Police Department says that early on Thursday morning, April 11, emergency crews were called to the area of I-35 and Kansas St. with reports of a rolling road rage incident that involved gunfire.

Police indicated that a thorough investigation with several different departments revealed the suspect to be Shannon Ireland, 36, of Raytown, who was taken into custody.

The Clay Co. Prosecutors Office also noted that Ireland has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon. She was issued a $50,000 bond and as of Friday, no longer remains behind bars.

No injuries were reported as a result, no further information has been released.
