A man was shot and critically injured in the Wrightwood neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
The 67-year-old was sitting inside a parked car shortly before 9 a.m. when two males approached and began shooting into the car, according to police.
He was shot in the face and neck and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.
The gunmen fled northbound from the scene.
As Area Two detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
