At least two people were shot and another was detained Saturday after authorities responded to reports of an active shooter at Deerbrook Mall in Humble, Texas.
The Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 said deputies responded to the mall alongside the Humble Police Department just after 6:30 p.m. located at the 20100 block of U.S. Highway 59.
During a Saturday evening news conference, Humble Police Chief Chris Battenfield said one juvenile was shot and taken to a hospital. The juvenile’s condition was not immediately known.

I just got shot in Humble Tx at Deebrook mall not over no videos just two YNS arguing and i happened to be in the line of fire shoutout to the makers of morphine.
An adult bystander also suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to a finger, Battenfield said.
He also said three officers were already stationed at the mall, allowing police to respond quickly to the incident.
“At this time, one victim has been reported shot, and one person has been detained,” the constable’s office initially reported. “Law enforcement officers remain on scene as the investigation continues.”
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were working with partner agencies to secure the mall.
Police scanner traffic indicated officers were clearing the mall and evacuating stores, though officials have not publicly confirmed those details.
“Our deputies are working alongside our law enforcement partners to help secure the scene and protect the public.”
