Woman stabs multiple people, including a married couple, during violent stabbing spree at a southeast Houston apartment complex.
Javon Latriece Alix is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Surveillance video shows people inside the store holding the door shut while Alix, holding knives, tries to force her way in.
She later chased several people, including a woman and her 7-year-old daughter, before attacking the married couple.
The wife was stabbed three times in the stomach, while the husband was stabbed twice in the stomach and once in the back.
The couple managed to make it back into their apartment before relatives called 911.
According to investigators, the woman approached a mother and her 7-year-old child and threatened to stab them. The two made it safely back inside their apartment without injury.
Moments later, police say the woman encountered a group of four people outside the complex.
Police say investigators are still trying to determine whether the woman was experiencing a mental health crisis. Authorities said she mentioned that she had been taking seizure medication.
The victims’ conditions have not yet been released
