The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a huge brawl downtown that left several people taken to the hospital with stab wounds.

According to the police, officers responded to the call of a fight around midnight Saturday on the 200 block of Fayetteville Street in the heart of downtown Raleigh.

Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims of a stabbing on the scene. In total, according to the police, six men and women were transported to the hospital for stab wounds.

Police also said that multiple men and women were detained as part of the investigation.
