He Complained About A Man Farting. Then He Was Shot Dead.

At around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Marathon Gas Riverdale Xpress Mart, located at 5995 Riverdale Road in Riverdale, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Delrico Beebe.

According to investigators, Beebe had complained about 48-year-old Seneca Colbert farting inside the convenience store. The complaint reportedly sparked an argument between the two men.

During the confrontation, Colbert allegedly went outside to his vehicle, retrieved an AR-style pistol, and returned with the weapon. Investigators say he fired around 10 shots at Beebe, striking him in the back and killing him.

Following the shooting, Colbert fled the scene. Detectives with the Clayton County Police Department identified him as the suspect and obtained arrest warrants. On October 9, 2026, authorities publicly announced that they were searching for Colbert, who was considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators described the shooting as an isolated incident stemming from a dispute between the two men.

On October 23, 2026, authorities received information that Colbert was hiding at a location in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW in Atlanta. Officers responded to the property, but Colbert allegedly refused to come outside.

Atlanta Police SWAT officers subsequently breached the building and discovered Colbert hiding behind a water heater. He was taken into custody without further incident and transferred to the Clayton County Fugitive Task Force. The U.S. Marshals Service also assisted in the search for him.

On October 24, 2026, the Clayton County Police Department confirmed that Colbert had been apprehended following the multi-agency operation.

Colbert has been charged with malice murder in connection with Beebe’s death.
