A large party near Oklahoma City turned chaotic Sunday night after gunfire broke out at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, leaving at least 13 people hospitalized, according to police and hospital officials. Authorities say the shooting happened around 9 p.m. during what witnesses described as a crowded “Sunday Funday” gathering attended mostly by young adults

The Arcadia Lake area was flooded with emergency responders after multiple 911 calls reported shots fired near the lakeside party. Police from Edmond, Oklahoma City, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol rushed to the scene alongside paramedics as victims were transported to nearby hospitals.

Officials confirmed that at least 10 victims were initially transported by ambulance, while several others reportedly arrived at hospitals on their own. Integris Health officials later confirmed patients were being treated at multiple facilities across the Oklahoma City metro area. Victims were reported to be in varying conditions as investigators worked overnight to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

As of Monday morning, no arrests had been announced. Edmond police said detectives are continuing to investigate what led to the violence and whether multiple shooters may have been involved. Authorities also stated there is currently no ongoing threat to the public.

Social media flyers promoting the lakeside event circulated online before the shooting, drawing a large crowd to the popular recreation area located just outside Oklahoma City. The incident is now being added to the growing list of mass shootings reported across the United States in 2026.
