It will not be an easy recovery for victims of a deadly tornado that struck Rolling Fork and other parts of Mississippi Friday (March 24) night.
“There was a constant scream for help,”said Stormchaser Aaron Rigsby, who arrived in Rolling Fork seconds after the tornado hit and helped free trapped residents.
“I thought I was dead,” Rolling Fork resident Shanta Howard told local media the morning after.
The small town mourned after massive devastation.
An entire roadside of homes and businesses off Highway 61 are just gone after Rolling Fork took a direct hit from a deadly tornado. Residents lost a lot more than their homes and businesses.
“We had to help dead bodies out of the house, so that is very disturbing,”Howard said. “Actually seeing people losing their lives over a weather incident.”
