Colorado Issues Recall for Marijuana Vapes Sold at 405 Stores
Colorado officials have issued a health and safety advisory after certain marijuana vape products were found to contain methylene chloride, a volatile industrial solvent that can pose serious health risks.
The Colorado Department of Revenue and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced the recall Friday, warning consumers who purchased affected Craft vape cartridges and disposable devices to check their products and avoid using them.
The affected products were manufactured by Staycon LLC, which operates under the Craft name, and were sold at 405 stores across Colorado between March 27 and September 25, 2026.
Methylene chloride, also known as dichloromethane, is an industrial chemical commonly associated with applications such as adhesives, paint and chemical processing. Health officials say exposure can cause neurological effects, while prolonged exposure has been linked to more serious health concerns.
Some affected product names include Green Skunk, Hawaiian Sour, Mango Kush, Maui Wowie, Diesel Dawg and Ghost Haze.
Colorado officials are urging consumers who have an affected product to destroy it or return it to the store where it was purchased for proper disposal. Anyone experiencing unusual symptoms or other adverse health effects after using the products should seek medical attention and report the incident to state authorities.
As of the state’s announcement, officials said they had not received reports of adverse health events connected to the recalled products.
Consumers should check the product label and batch information carefully before using any Craft vape products.
