The No. 4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers and No. 3 seed New York Knicks play on Monday, May 25, in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference finals NBA playoffs series.
The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. MST (8 p.m. Eastern time) and can be seen on ESPN (stream with FUBO).

The Knicks beat an Atlanta Hawks team punching above its weight as a No. 6 seed. They beat a Philadelphia 76ers team that, despite upsetting the No. 2 Boston Celtics in the first round, finished the regular season just two games above the East’s 10th seed.
And now they have a commanding 3-0 Eastern Conference Finals lead over a Cavaliers team few expected to survive long enough to reach the third round.
Barring an all-time collapse — no team in NBA playoff history has ever blown a 3-0 series lead — the Knicks are headed to the NBA Finals.
The purchase was made on StubHub, the secondary ticket company, for what would be the Knicks’ first home game in the Finals. That would be Game 3, as the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs both have higher seeds than the Knicks in these NBA Playoffs.
Jaw-dropping is an understatement for a price of that magnitude, but that’s also have crazy it has been to see potential history for one of the most storied franchises in the sport.
It’s been 53 years since the Knicks last won an NBA title, dating back to the years with Walt “Clyde Frazier,” Phil Jackson, Dick Barnett, Willis Reed and Bill Bradley. The Knicks won two titles in 1970 and 1973, as Red Holzman’s squad was etched in basketball lore forever.
Since that 1973 victory, the Knicks have been to the NBA Finals just twice, the first in 1994 when the Houston Rockets secured a Game 7 victory, 90-84, to crush New York’s dreams.
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson has maintained a calm demeanor throughout the postseason, but one has to wonder if this squad, facing a must-win game on their home court, needs more.
After winning two series that went the full seven games, they had a promising start to their Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks. Unfortunately, that was through the first three quarters, with Jalen Brunson and his squad staging an impressive comeback from down 22 points to get an overtime win and go up 1-0.
Cleveland went on to lose 121-108 in Game 3, with New York leading in three quarters and never seeming to lose control of the game, even when the Cavs held a lead.
Atkinson became the Cavaliers’ head coach in June 2024 and won the NBA Coach of the Year award in 2025 after guiding the team to a 64–18 record.
Despite having two strong Cavs teams capable of contending in the Eastern Conference Playoffs, they are on the verge of a second straight disappointing postseason exit.
Ironically, he told reporters postgame that he felt the Knicks’ energy level “was much higher” than his team’s during Game 3. That suggests the coach should consider his energy in a pregame speech before must-win games.
