BloodHound Q50 reportedly killed in Chicago ambush after more than 50 shots fired
Chicago drill rapper BloodHound Q50, whose real name was Mikquale Cooper, was reportedly killed in a deadly early-morning shooting in Chicago’s Fuller Park neighborhood.
According to preliminary police information cited by multiple reports, Cooper, 22, was sitting in the driver’s seat of a white Tesla at a BP gas station on South Wentworth Avenue when two vehicles reportedly pulled alongside him.
Multiple gunmen then allegedly opened fire, with more than 50 rounds reportedly discharged during the attack. Cooper suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports indicate that as many as six shooters may have been involved, with the suspects reportedly fleeing the area in two vehicles. Authorities have not announced any arrests, and a motive remains unclear as the investigation continues.
News of Q50’s reported death quickly spread throughout social media and the Chicago drill community, with fans and fellow artists sharing tributes following the shooting.
Cooper was reportedly 22 years old and had been building a name within Chicago’s drill scene. His death adds another tragic chapter to a music culture that has repeatedly lost young artists to violence.
