Angie Katsanevas reveals where she stands with estranged husband Shawn after shock split: RHOSLC
‘RHOSLC’ star Angie Katsanevas reveals where she stands with estranged husband Shawn after shock split. Angie Katsanevas is breaking her silence about her relationship with estranged husband Shawn Trujillo.
Multiple sources told Page Six in July that Katsanevas and Trujillo, 55, had separated after 27 years of marriage. The couple — who wed in 1999 — shares 15-year-old daughter, Elekra, as well as their business, Lunatic Fringe Salon.
“I’ve been amazed at how many people are curious as to what’s going on in my personal life,” Katsanevas, 52, told us while promoting her new gig as host of the “GoDaddy School of Hustle” podcast. “The viewers fall in love with you, and your family, and your story.”
Although they are no longer together romantically, Katsanevas told us that she and Trujillo will remain present in each other’s lives.
“Shawn and I are business partners, we’re family, we’re husband and wife of 30 years, we’re best friends,” she said. “Obviously, we are loving parents, and everything we’ve done, we have done together, and we will continue to do everything together moving forward.
“We talk a lot about the process this season on the show, and what the future looks like for us.”
As for how their daughter is handling the split, Katsanevas said that “nothing has changed for her.”
“We’re very present, loving parents,” she explained. “I think she just feels loved and supported and very strong and confident in who she is and who her parents are, and that she is surrounded by love.”
Unfortunately, Katsanevas is having a hard time finding that same support from her castmates. While she praised Heather Gay and Mary Cosby for being there for her in light of the news, the same couldn’t be said about Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks.
Days after Katsanevas’ separation went public — and shortly after Page Six learned that Whitney Rose, 39, and her husband Justin Rose, 58, had also been “living separate lives” — Lisa posted a loved-up photo with her husband, John Barlow. Marks also penned a cryptic message on Threads about the “irony in karma,” leading fans to believe the two were throwing shade at their co-stars’ separations.
