19-year-old Donterious Stephens had been charged with first-degree murder
Around 1 a.m., the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance for an after-prom party at 235 Highway 49 in West Helena, Arkansas.
Police say a high school senior was shot and killed outside the party.
The victim was identified as 18-year-old Lorenzo Harrison III..
Arkansas State Police revealed that 19-year-old Donterious Stephens had been charged with first-degree murder and possession of firearms following.
The victim’s body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, the statement continued.
Stephens was described by police as a “previous graduate” of Central High School while Harrison was a senior.
