North Carolina: Police responded to a call about a shooting at around 2 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said a man ran into traffic and jumped on a moving vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, an off-duty deputy with Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, then shot the man before calling 911.
The man who was shot has been identified as Fayetteville resident, Jason Walker. He died at the scene.
The State Bureau of Investigation is now in charge of the case. The deputy’s identity has not been released.
