10-Month-Old Boy Stabbed to Death. Mother Charged With Murder.
RawNews1st – Just after 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to a stabbing call at a residence on Rocala Drive in Barnardsville, North Carolina. Upon arrival, first responders located an infant suffering from multiple stab wounds. The child was transported to Mission Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The victim was identified as 10-month-old Enoch Chappell.
Investigators identified the child’s mother, 34-year-old Ciara Frederick, as the suspect. She was taken into custody at the scene.
According to officials, Frederick has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities have not released a motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
