Galveston County jury sentenced Robert Griffin Alexander of League City to 80 years in prison Friday after convicting him of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Prosecutors said Alexander abused a 12-year-old boy beginning in 2000 for about four years. The victim came forward in 2017, along with two brothers who also alleged abuse. A separate 2022 report from another victim led League City police to reopen the investigation.

During trial, seven men testified they were abused by Alexander over multiple years. Jurors convicted him Thursday and sentenced him Friday. He will be eligible for parole after 30 years.
Alexander still faces pending charges in New Braunfels involving two of the victims who testified in Galveston County court.
