Former Nowata County election secretary has been arrested, accused of rape
RawNews1st – The former Nowata County election secretary has been arrested, accused of raping a teenage girl, he knows.
The affidavit says Cary Freeman raped the girl a number of times between September, 2022 and March of 2023.
It says after a forensic interview with the victim, Freeman was arrested earlier this month.
He’s being held on a one million dollar bond, but no charges have been filed yet.o
Records show the State Election Board voted last October to remove Freeman as Election Secretary.
