According to police, two women were shot as they sat in a car in Garfield Park.
Police said the women, 31 and 32, were sitting in the gray vehicle when they heard gunshots and realized they had been hit.
The Chicago Fire Department treated the 31-year-old, who was shot twice in the chest and two more times in the arm, on the scene. She was then taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
Police said the shooting happened in the Garfield Park neighborhood near West Huron Street and North Avers Avenue just before 9 p.m.
CFD also treated the 32-year-old, who was shot in the leg. She was transported to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
Area Four detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
