An investigation has been launched into Nusrat Ghani’s claims she was told by that a senior party member that her “Muslim woman minister status was making colleagues feel uncomfortable”.
She also claims she was told she “didn’t do enough to defend the party against Islamophobia allegations”, and that when she raised concerns with PM Boris Johnson he insisted he couldn’t get involved.
Chief Tory whip Mark Spencer outed himself as the minister she cited but he has srongly refuted the allegations.
