Deputies said family members called them out to Vera because the girl had been tied up for three days.
They said they found the girl sitting on a carpet square and tied to the tree with a bandage over her leg.
Deputies said they talked to the girl’s father Johnny James who told them he tied her up because she likes to lie and couldn’t control her bowel movements.
They said he told deputies he only does it while they can’t keep an eye on her.
Deputies arrested James and his girlfriend Kayla Clark for child abuse and neglect.
