In Gresham on the South Side, a teenage boy was accused of carrying out an armed carjacking on Tuesday night.
According to Chicago police, a 15-year-old boy forced a 37-year-old woman into giving up her car at gunpoint in the 8000 block of South Throop at 6:41 p.m.
About 30 minutes later, police arrested the boy in the Chatham neighborhood’s 700 block of East 84th Place.
Two felonies, including aggravated vehicle hijacking and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, were brought against the boy.
On Wednesday, he was supposed to show up in juvenile court.
