An SUV struck and killed a woman in the Pilsen neighborhood on Wednesday evening.
The woman was in a crosswalk in the 2100 block of West Cermak Road around 5:30 p.m. when an SUV turning west on Cermak from Hoyne Avenue hit her, according to Chicago police.
According to police, the woman, 48, was taken to Stroger Hospital where she died. Her identity would not be revealed right away.
The SUV’s driver, a 38-year-old man, was cited for driving with a suspended license, according to officials.
The Major Accidents unit was looking into it.
