The man who raped a woman in a Savannah grocery store bathroom is headed to prison.
Gregory Hathorne recently reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to rape while the kidnapping and battery charges against him were dropped.
Hathorne admitted he pulled a woman into the female-only bathroom and raped her.
He was later caught by Good Samaritans as he fled the store.
Sadly, the victim died about three months after her attack.
She was only 26 years old.
Hathorne was sentenced to 25 years in prison, followed by probation for life.
