Shopping Cart Argument Turns Violent — Woman Stabbed in Walmart Parking Lot
RawNews1st – At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported stabbing in the parking lot of a Walmart on West Wendover Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina.
According to investigators, a woman was sitting in her vehicle with the window down when another vehicle pulled up beside her.
The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Tokyia Monique Brown, exited the vehicle and moved a shopping cart into the victim’s car.
Authorities say Brown then exchanged words with the victim, prompting the victim to exit her vehicle.
During the confrontation, Brown stabbed the victim in the neck with an object described as a sharp item attached to a keychain.
The victim ran inside the store while holding her wound as employees called 911.
She was transported to a hospital, where she underwent surgery for serious injuries. Authorities said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators later located the suspect’s vehicle nearby, and Brown was taken into custody.
She has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and is currently being held without bond.
The investigation remains ongoing.
