NWA's Blk Jeez recovering from gunshot suffered during attempted carjacking

NWA wrestler Blk Jeez’s planned return to the ring after a bout with blood cancer has been delayed due to an attempted carjacking & shooting on Thursday.

In a media release, the NWA stated Jeez (Darnell Kittrell) was approached by four masked men while in Philadelphia Thursday night.

The men attempted to carjack Kittrell and during the events of the incident, Kittrell was shot in the hip and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Kittrell was set to return at Saturday’s NWA Paranoia event in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In May 2023, his diagnosis of multiple myeloma (a form of blood cancer) was revealed in addition to a GoFundMe to assist him as he was also recovering from multiple back fractures.

He hasn’t wrestled since February 2023.
