Xiamen Kang Zhongyuan Biotechnology Co. initiated the recall voluntarily last month following an FDA inspection of its manufacturing facility. The recall covers products sold under the Exchange Select, Caring Mill, Discount Drug, MGC Health, and QC Quality Choice names.
A Chinese drugmaker recalled multiple varieties of cough suppressants that were sold across the U.S. under several name brands, the Food and Drug Administration reported.
The FDA statement did not include what was observed during its inspection last August, only that it could affect product quality. While the recall was issued nationwide, the FDA did not indicate how many items it included.
