Mauritian Tanker Runs Aground off France’s Reunion Island
The “Tresta Star” has been left stranded by Cyclone Batsirai in the Indian Ocean with 11 people believed on board.
According to the Minister of Maritime Affairs, a rescue operation is underway and the tanker is empty meaning, “there is no risk of serious pollution from hydrocarbons.”
Back in 2020, the very same vessel was in trouble with 1,000 tons of fuel on board.
