A man was fatally shot in an apartment complex in the Chatham neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
According to Chicago police, the man, aged 18 to 25, was discovered with gunshot wounds in the rear stairwell of an apartment complex in the 7900 block of South Rhodes Avenue.
The victim was taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet revealed his identity.
