Oklahoma – Man has been charged with embezzlement, accused of taking money from customers’ account at the bank where he worked in Sand Springs.
The affidavit for Jackson Hale, says a customer came into the bank in November of 2021 about a withdrawal that had been made from his account, that he didn’t do, because he was in the hospital at the time.
It says bank managers pulled the video and realized Hale had withdrawn $1,500 from that customer’s account and withdrew $1,500 from another customer account as well.
It says both men were elderly.
It says managers also saw Jackson pulling money out of his teller drawer and putting it into his pocket, then, lying about the money count in the drawer at the end of the day.
It says he deposited the stolen money into his own account at the same bank, by using the ATM.
It says Hale took nearly $10,000 total.
It says the bank gave the money back to the customers.
Records show Hale was charged October 23rd, 2023 with DUI, driving with a suspended license and having an open container in Pawnee County.
