A man was attacked with a baseball bat on the Red Line train in Uptown on Thursday morning.
According to Chicago police, the man, 54, was riding the train around 7:20 a.m. when someone approached him and demanded he hand over his personal belongings before hitting him with a baseball bat.
According to police, the injured man exited the train near the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue. In stable condition, he was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital.
The assailant remained on the train. There have been no arrests.
