Update: to Saturday morning’s homicide in Brent
Brent Police Chief Terry Nichols confirms an arrest has been made in the city’s first homicide of 2021.
John’Terius Tyrece Allen, age 23, is in custody and charged with the shooting death of 27 year-old Shaquille Antwain Dobyne.
Allen in charged with Capital Murder and is being held on no bond.
The shooting happened on B-I Way between HWY 5 and Anderson Street Street in the Brent Hill area just before 3am Saturday.
The State Bureau of Investigation with ALEA assisted in Brent in the investigation.
