Angry Man Kept Approaching A Woman Over A Parking Space. Then, He Was Shot.
On June 30, 2026, shortly before 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to the Walmart parking lot on West McNab Road in North Lauderdale, Florida, after a shooting. A man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as 62-year-old Bart Diguglielmo.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Diguglielmo and a woman were involved in a verbal argument over a parking space before the shooting.
Cellphone and dashcam video captured the incident.
Video showed the woman backing away several times while Diguglielmo continued moving toward her.
The woman retreated around a vehicle while keeping a handgun pointed in his direction.
In the video, the woman could be heard warning Diguglielmo that she would shoot if he kept coming toward her.
Diguglielmo briefly moved away, then quickly turned back and approached her again.
The woman then fired her weapon.
Authorities said the woman remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives.
She told investigators the shooting was self-defense.
Authorities have not released the woman’s name.
No charges have been filed.
The case will be presented to the 17th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Broward County to determine whether criminal charges will be filed.
