France Shuts Down Mosque for ‘Defending Jihad’ & Sharia Advocacy
France has ordered a mosque in Beauvais to close its doors after its imam allegedly preached “radical” sermons that “defended jihad.”
The imam apparently referred to jihadist fighters as “heroes,” incited violence and referred to the religious rule of Islam as “superior” to the laws of the French Republic, according to the BBC.
Authorities in France perform regular checks on Islamic places suspected of extremist ties.
