Downing was one of four staff members recently fired by the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans also fired offensive line coach Keith Carter, secondary coach Anthony Midget and offensive skill assistant Erik Frazier.

The Tennessee Titans report that Downing was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021 after joining the team in 2019 as tight ends coach.
Downing was arrested on Nov. 18 for driving under the influence in Williamson County and charged with DUI.
