There was a ground stop in effect from 4:34 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Reagan airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which said departures were delayed an average of one hour due to equipment issues.
Dulles International Airport, Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Manassas Regional Airport and Richmond International Airport were also experiencing a ground stop early Sunday evening due to a loss of published air traffic services, according to the FAA.
