Fired Peloton Employees Gatecrash New CEO Welcome Meeting
The day after 2,800 Peloton employees were laid off, a virtual meeting to welcome new CEO Barry McCarthy was crashed by some who vented their anger at the “awfully tone-deaf” company.
The call had to be cut short due the volume of vented fury in the chat. “The company messed up by allowing people who were fired into this chat; too late to moderate this,” one worker wrote.
After an early pandemic lockdown business boom, Peloton shares dropped 80% since January last year.
