CHERRYVILLE, N.C. — A Cherryville mother is behind bars, charged in the death of her own 3-year-old daughter earlier this year, police announced on Wednesday.
Jenna Michelle Melton was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of her daughter, Anna Lee Tadych, which happened on Jan. 5, 2021.
Melton, 26, was being held on no bond at the Gaston County Detention Center.
The case is still under investigation and no other details about how the child died have been released.
