At least 2 police officers shot at Columbia, South Carolina park
The Columbia Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting near a park on Hazelwood Road.
According to police, the shooting resulted in the death of the suspect and two officers being shot.
CPD says the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and Richland County Sheriff’s Department are also assisting with the investigation.
Law enforcement asks members of the public to avoid the immediate area as investigations continue.
Police say more information regarding the incident will be provided by 5 p.m. today
