October 20, 2021, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a financial institution located in the 1300 block of McPhillips Street.
A male suspect entered the building armed with what is believed to be a handgun.
No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled in a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The subsequent investigation by the Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit led to the arrest of Travis Kenneth William SADOWY, 31, on November 1, 2021.
He was detained in custody. Sadowy was charged with:- Armed Robbery Using a Firearm- Drive Suspended (HTA)An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect in this incident.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating John Raven WARD, 37.
Ward is wanted on firearms and robbery-related offences, and he is the subject of a second warrant for being Unlawfully at Large. He is 5’8” in height with auburn hair and brown eyes. Ward is not to be approached.
