This evening DCFD responded on an Active Shooter response at the Mandarin Hotel 1250 Maryland Ave SW .
Upon arrival units staged but after a while it was learned it would be a Barricade. Rescue Squad 1 was ordered to the 8 Th Floor in Tactical Gear to assist and stand by for possible forcible entry into rooms.
After about an hour MPD was able to get in the apartment and place the shooter under arrest. Squad 1 assisted EMS 7 and Mecic 7 with the shooting victim .
E-13 connected to the stand pipe for a report of a possible fire also.. By E
