RawNews1st – According to officials, a man was killed and two others were injured Friday afternoon at a housing complex in south suburban University Park.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. inside the Maple Leaf Apartments, 759 Burr Oak Lane, according to University Park officials.
According to officials, a 27-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Officials said two other men in their twenties were taken to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. Their conditions were unknown at the time.
“This is unfortunate, but it is a targeted incident,” said Mayor Joseph E. Roudez III.
“There is no immediate danger to the complex’s residents or the general public. We send our condolences to the victims and their families.”
