A man is in custody after police say he stabbed his parents to death today on Indy’s north side.
This happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Lakshire Lane, near 96th Street and Township Line Road.
The mother had died by the time medics arrived. The father was rushed to a hospital, but tragically he died not long after getting there.
IMPD says a man was quickly taken into custody and that mental issues appear to be the catalyst for this horrifying double murder.
We’re told IMPD’s Mobile Crisis Assistance Team has previously responded to the home.
Right now detectives are getting search warrants to process the scene as the suspect is questioned.
