A Father Is Accused Of Killing His Wife, Two Young Sons And A Store Clerk.

Police responded to a home in Cheektowaga, New York for a welfare check. Upon arrival, they found a woman and two young children shot to death inside the residence.

The victims were identified as 26-year-old Ayesha Abdullah and her two young sons, ages 4 and 3.

Police said the suspect, 29-year-old Saleh Mohamed, was Abdullah’s husband and the father of the two children.

According to Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane, Abdullah and the two boys were shot and killed inside the Cheektowaga home.

Authorities said Mohamed is also accused of driving about 15 minutes to Buffalo and fatally shooting a 43-year-old store and deli clerk.

Officials said Mohamed and the victims were all from the same Yemeni community, but authorities have not confirmed how Mohamed knew the store clerk.

Investigators said Mohamed used a legally registered 9 mm handgun in the killings.

Authorities said Mohamed had a firearm permit and had no prior criminal record.

Police said they had not previously responded to the home.

Neighbors told reporters they heard arguing inside the home before hearing several gunshots.

Authorities said Mohamed returned to the home while police were conducting the welfare check and was taken into custody.

He was charged with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his wife and children.

Mohamed was also charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the death of the store clerk.

He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 5, 2026.
