Trans and HIV activist, 39, is arrested for ‘soliciting pedophile hunterÂ
Lailani Muniz, 39, a prominent New York City transgender and HIV activist, was arrested and charged for allegedly soliciting a minor. Muniz is accused of asking for sex from a 14-year-old boy on Grindr, who was actually a man working with the NY Creeps Spotlight nonprofit.Â
The chat log shows Muniz promising to meet the minor while his mother is away, inviting him to a naked jacuzzi party with weed and ecstasy. Muniz agreed to meet up with ‘Josh,’ but was instead confronted by the nonprofit, who called the police. Â
NY Creeps Spotlight, which works to expose people who target children, posted chats Muniz allegedly had with the disguised man, who only identified himself as FM.
The messages show Muniz wanted to have sex with the minor, offering weed and ecstasy to make him ‘feel horny’, and asked him for oral sex even after finding out he was underaged.Â
FM got Muniz to agree to meet up with him in a video posted on YouTube last Friday, where the pedophile hunter confronted Muniz and called the police to arrest her.
According to the criminal complaint, Muniz told the officers arresting her: ‘We did have a conversation before. It got sexual, it got racy, then we stopped talking for a while.
‘We started talking again and I agreed to go and meet him. He told me to bring condoms.’
