DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
On Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 4:05 p.m., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Tonya Loop.
Two victims were pronounced deceased, one victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Main for further medical treatment, and no other victims were injured.
Detectives were notified and arrived on scene. The medical examiner was contacted and arrived on scene.
During the investigation, it was learned the suspect had shot the three victims and warrants were obtained. The suspect, Damien Taylor, was located and obtained without incident.
Damien Taylor was charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder and one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury. Damien Taylor was transported to the Hoke County Detention Center, where he was served with his arrest warrants.
Damien Taylor did not receive a bond due to the charges. Investigation is on-going at this time.
