An 18-year-old woman was shot early Tuesday while waiting in a McDonald’s drive-thru in the Hermosa neighborhood.

According to Chicago police, the woman was driving with three other passengers just before 1 a.m. when a male approached on a bike and began arguing with them at 4338 W. North Ave. The male, whose age was unknown, took out a handgun and began shooting, hitting the driver in the back and left arm.

According to police, the woman drove to St. Mary’s Hospital before being taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in good condition. No additional injuries were reported.

Nobody is in custody. Detectives from Area Five are conducting an investigation.
