A person of interest is in police custody Wednesday in connection to the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Chicago police say the teen, along with a 55 and 61-year-old man, were inside a car when a darked colored SUV stopped, three gunmen exited and fired shots — striking all three males.

The boy has been identified by family as 17-year-old Pedro Ramirez. He was the victim of a triple shooting Tuesday morning in the 5000 block of South Throop Street.

The 17-year-old sustained gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In exclusive video obtained by WGN News, three offenders, dressed in all black, are seen exiting the vehicle and at least one of them opening fire.

The other two men were transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

A woman, who calls herself Ramirez’s second mother, tells WGN News he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ramirez was a junior at Tilden High School and loved soccer. His family says he was a good kid.
