1.8 percent of children required medical treatment for “unwanted side effects” after Covid vaccination, according to new data from the Ministry of Health of Lower Saxony in Germany.
The number of children and young people who had to be treated for depression has risen significantly.
Before the pandemic, the number fluctuated between 4900 and 5500 cases, it was around 8700 in the first quarter of 2023.
The cases of diagnosed eating disorders rose from around 2,100 cases in 2018 to almost 3,000 most recently.

505,569 children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18 have been vaccinated against the corona virus at least once.
About 9,300 of them had unwanted side effects that were treated medically. This corresponds to a share of 1.8 percent.
