Supply Chain Crisis: California ports RECORD 17-day log jam for container ships
Over 80 ships are waiting outside the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, with the total waiting time now 17 days – double what it was 2 months ago, and longer than ever before.
Gov Gavin Newsom has attempted to tackle the issue by doubling DMV capacity to ease the truck driver shortage – but insists the supply chain issue is not specific to the state.
Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero warned that “every sector of the supply chain has reached capacity.”
