A 14-year-old r*ped by her father gives birth alone, then runs over the newborn
Investigators say Diana Ortega, 14, hid her pregnancy and gave birth without medical help on August 1 beside a strawberry field in California.
She was impregnated by her own father, 38-year-old Sergio Galvez Perez.
The infant, named Baby Angelita by investigators, was found dead with crush trauma. Tire marks showed the front right wheel of the family vehicle ran over her.
Diana vanished then vanished.
The FBI and Mexican authorities say her father hid her in Mexico but that she has been located and placed her in protective custody.
Perez was arrested and faces incest, child sex, and child endangerment charges.
Her mother, Ofelia Garcia Ortega, was also charged with child endangerment.
